DESCRIPTION:With great joy and anticipation\, we invite you to join us for a living WV treasure\, jazz legend and West Virginia Music Hall of Fame inductee Bob Thompson. \nInternationally known jazz pianist\, composer\, and arranger Bob Thompson (born December 12\, 1942 in Jamaica\, Queens\, New York) is the house pianist and a featured performer on National Public Radio’s syndicated Mountain Stage program\, which is broadcast live from the West Virginia Culture Center Theater in Charleston. \nThompson grew up in New York City\, but came to West Virginia in the 1960s to study music at West Virginia State College (now University)\, and thereafter decided to stay. \nSince the 1970s\, Thompson and his bands have recorded and released multiple CDs\, and toured nationally and internationally\, performing gigs in Europe\, Africa and South America. DESCRIPTION:TWO DAY EVENT- Saturday April 25th 10-6 and Sunday April 26th 10-4!\nJoin us for our annual plugging of the logs! Once again\, we will be drilling\, stuffing and waxing 800 shiitake logs to keep our production rolling.\n\n\n\nWe welcome you to work a little\, talk a little\, eat a little\, and work a little more.\n\n\n\nThis is a good old fashioned work party and community building event.\n\n\n\nOutdoors event\, with a roof over part of it\, dress for the weather! This is a rain\, snow or shine day.\n\n\n\nWe will be providing food and beverages\, but feel free to bring something to share.\nSpace for free camping- contact us for details if you’re interested.\n\n\n\nPlease leave your dog at home- we have enough for everyone!\nWe are very much looking forward to sharing our farm with you\, and spending time together.
